The awards ceremony will be held at 1pm on Saturday for the 5k and 10k and at 1pm on Sunday for the ½ marathon and the “triple threat.” Trophies will be awarded to overall male and female finishers in all 4 events.

Terrain: Mount Bohemia is well known for being one of the premier adventure ski resorts in the nation. Trails consist of a combination of single track, double track, rolling hills and a few “good climbs.” The ½ Marathon and 10k will gradually climb to the peak of the mountain and offer spectacular views from near the top of the chairlift. The 5k will offer more gradual but still challenging terrain that traverses a scenic trail around the mountain. There is a net elevation gain of approximately 2,100 ft and a net loss of 2,100ft (see maps below) in the half-marathon.

Lodging: There are many onsite accommodations available at Mount Bohemia. Trailside cabins sleep 4 and yurts sleep ten. All lodging has private bathrooms with showers and toilets. The nicest lodging at Bohemia is located on the water at the Inn on Lac Labelle. There will be a hostel as well for this weekend. Yurts can be purchased at a single person rate or in their entirety. See Mount Bohemia website for more details.

Aid Station Info:
Aid stations will be provided every 3-5 miles dependent on terrain. Patrollers trained in wilderness first aid will be available for minor injuries that may occur. Hydration solutions will include electrolyte solution or water.

Pre-Race Activities: We highly encourage all racers to travel to Mount Bohemia the day before the event. In addition to utilizing your dinner reservation on Saturday night (family members may purchase a meal ticket) you will have the opportunity to: meet fellow running enthusiasts, speak with exercise physiologists, socialize at our bar and outdoor musical event, and take in the truly scenic outdoor adventure land Mount Bohemia has to offer

Fun Activities for the Family While You Race: October is peak season for out vibrant colors of the Keweenaw Peninsula to shine. The chair lifts will be running to allow you to reach our highest peak and overlook this naturally phenomenal display of color.

Post Race Activities: Runners, family and friends can visit the nearby white sand beaches of Bete Grise in Lac La Belle. It is also only a short drive North to scenic Copper Harbor which offers a variety of gift shops. As visitors head South on their way home Calumet offers the Keweenaw National Historical Park, the historic Calumet Theatre, and Swedetown recreational trails. Finally, the Houghton and Hancock area offers other sites such as the Quincy Mine Hoist and a wide variety of businesses.
